Summertime...oh so HOT!!

It’s after 9p and such a HOT summer night…still in the 90’s. The heat index is over 100 degrees nearly everyday now. Regardless, Andrew and I are still enjoying each other, traveling, and working out a smoking, hot summer body! In fact, we’ve been so busy since late April…traveling every weekend and I started summer classes (online). Needless to say, we’re taking it easy for the next 2 months until late August…we pick up traveling every weekend again up to October!

After 9 months, Andrew still asks me, “Can you believe we’re married?” He states we’re already out-lasting the Hollywood couples! Also, we can’t believe he’s already starting his 2nd and last year of pedo residency! Wahoo…but wait…where are we going, what are we doing?! One thing we do know, we are planning a month long trip next summer – a honeymoon, trip overseas, New York City to see the Yankees, spend longer time with the parents in Alabama, and much more! Secondly, it’s all in God’s hands! It’s so awesome to cast away our own fears and worries all because He takes care of our tomorrow.

So far, the summer has been…

Exhilarating! Visit Andrew’s parents in Alabama where we had a few days not only hanging with the Dills, but re-enact the proposal (2 years later) on Navarre Beach, act like beach bums on Perdido beach, wait 2 hours just to eat at LuLu’s and sit right next to a band (Andrew not happy), visit the coolest store where I find
Her First High Heels at Hooch’s Mama (new store, so website in progress), eat at Ed’s Shed, and test Andrew’s fear factor – me driving a go cart without the brakes and parasailing!

Since we were the only ones on the secluded beach...it was a bit challenging to take self-portraits. Here Andrew sneezes right before the timer went off...and I just burst into giggles!

My favorite of all the pictures! The wind actually blew my hair over as I was snapping.

Some cool color effects.

Andrew avoiding skin cancer...

I on the other hand...need a little color :)

LuLu's at the start of the 2 hour wait...
Andrew...not even speaking since we're right next to the band!

A night on the swamp lands in Mobile, AL with the parents...not even a wait at Ed's Shed but it was delicious seafood!

Andrew yelled..."Honey, has your foot even touched the brakes?!" I hollared..."What are brakes?"

Before take off and before Andrew nearly loses his stomach...

The view of parasailing from 800ft!

Eventful! Witness some of Andrew’s friends graduating residency, have a double date night with the Montoyas at Itta Bena and see the most awesome broadway musical – WICKED, visit estate sales, survive Memphis hurricanes (literally), tour our dream home – the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, and I kill my first mega cockroach in our kitchen...didn't wait on Andrew this time since he missed this roach 3 times (they're fast critters) – eeek!
Congrats Ashley and the 2009 Pedo Class!!
Itta Bena...great place tucked away above a Jazz bar!!
Wicked at the Orpheum

FYI...you should be able to see the river from our door...not even visible and there were waves in the Mississippi River!!

St. Jude's Dream Home Giveaway

I LOVE this kitchen!
Andrew thinking twice about taking these with us...our dryer works but doesn't shut off (we have refurbished w/d).

One of the four critters waiting to come inside...sorry, not invited!!
.
Relaxing! On nights like tonight…sit out on our garden patio, stroll through our architecturally, unique neighborhood, hang with our small group, make strawberry homemade ice cream and yummy blueberry-lime margaritas, and hang by the pool with the in-laws.
My AWESOME, multi-talented hubby!

Blueberry-Lime Margarita
2 cups ice
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup blueberry nectar (or juice)
1/4 cup seltzer
2 tbsps frozen limeade
1 tbsp lime juice
3 ounces tequila (optional)
